Dara Shikoh painting shows Mughal manuscript famous mughal prince Dara Shukoh with philosophers. Aurangzeb was a warrior prince. On the contrary, his brother Dara was a scholarly prince. Moreover, Aurangzeb liked the sword while as Dara liked the pen. In this war of conflicts of interest, one of the greatest tragedies of the Mughal era took place. Aurang got Dara killed to clear his way towards a dictatorial monarchy.
